4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the following circumstances:
- Clubs and Shoot Managers: Your registration data, squad assignments, and scores are shared with the clubs and shoot managers operating events you participate in, as necessary to run the shoot.
- Public Shoot Results: Shoot scores, Hi Gun standings, and classification data are displayed publicly on the Platform as part of the competitive record. This is a core function of the Platform and mirrors longstanding practice in organized trapshooting.
- Payment Processors: We share payment information with our third-party payment provider to process membership fees. We do not store full credit card numbers.
- Service Providers: We use third-party services for hosting, email delivery, analytics, and error monitoring. These providers access data only as needed to perform their services and are contractually bound to protect it.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government regulation, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the safety, rights, or property of SOS Clays, our users, or the public.
5. Data Retention
Shoot results and competitive records are retained indefinitely as part of the historical record of organized trapshooting. Account information is retained as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete your personal profile information within 90 days, but competitive results will remain in the public record as they are part of the shoot history.
6. Cookies and Tracking
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We use basic analytics to understand how the Platform is used and improve the experience. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or sell data to ad networks.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication, and access controls. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
8. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Junior shooters (ages 13–17) may use the Platform with parental consent, as is standard in organized trapshooting. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
